APJeT's APPR (Atmospheric Pressure Plasma Reactor) products fill an important niche for processing substrates with larger area than the R&D units, and for versatile, turn-key application of atmospheric plasma. Because the APPJ® technology is both scalable and applies high-power processes, these products may be used for a wide variety of processing applications.
With the APPR pilot-scale plasma treatment system, substrates are placed on the metal, horizontal electrode and moved across the plasma volume inside the rectangular center electrode assembly. Motors move the substrate through the plasma treatment volume smoothly and automatically. The glow of the plasma can be viewed through the view ports on the unit's sides.
The APPR design is unique in that it can be switched from in-situ to downstream operation, providing added flexibility and utility for the end user. The unit can also be equipped with rolls on both ends for continuous operation. This inexpensive system is ideal for a multitude of pilot-line applications and pre-production testing.

APPR Model 300-13, shown here with a vertically mounted RF-matching network. Note the absence of a dielectric cover. This unit measures 14 in. by 38 in. but we can produce units up to 4 ft. by 8 ft.
