APJeT® Showcases Innovations at Adhesives and Bonding Expo in Novi, MI
Our team at APJeT created quite a splash when they attended the Adhesives and Bonding Expo in Novi, MI in late June. With over 450 exhibitors, this Expo is the largest, free trade fair and conference for industrial bonding products and manufacturing on the continent and is where everyone gathers who works with adhesives or is looking for bonding solutions.
Led by Operations and Engineering Specialist Wade Tyner, APJeT presented its latest innovations in the commercial application of its cold plasma process for improved bonding and adhesion in the assembly and manufacturing industries. APJeT’s cold plasma technology activates the surface of plastic and polymeric material, increasing surface energy and allowing for improved dyeability, bonding, adhesion, and improved printability.
By eliminating the need for heat and chemicals for substrate preparation prior to dying or printing, the cold plasma process increases wettability and adhesion, while reducing safety risks, environmental impact and material degradation of the substrate material.
Our APJeT team conducted live demos where manufacturers could see how the technology works in ‘real time’. “We were tremendously excited by the great interest in our plasma solutions at the Expo,” said Tyner. “Not only were we able to educate a large number of engineers, designers and industry thought leaders about the benefits of our air plasma applications, but we were also able to connect with over fifty potential customers and share solutions tailored to their specific needs.”
APJet’s air plasma technology is now commercially available for developing small and large-scale applications.
“The reception at the Expo for the latest from APJeT bodes extremely well for the future,” added Tyner.
